Rose Shanahan
January 28, 1921 - July 5, 2010 In the
early morning hours of July 5, 2010, while asleep, Rose Veronica
Shanahan, peacefully and quietly, came to the end of her journey.
She did not suffer. During the last few months of her life she was never alone. One family member or another was with her every minute of every day. I believe that is as much a tribute to her as it is to them. In terms of distance, she never lived more than 95 miles from the place she was born, but, in effect, what a journey it was! 10 children, 21 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. So many happy memories. Goodbye Mom. Well done.
